But for the first few weeks, I have to do some sort of name activity with all of the classes that are new to me. It also helps the new to your school students in the upper grades to do name games because it helps them learn the names of their whole class.Lindsay Jervishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18167594381389888546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964923965343114096.post-65440892579624548272014-06-12T12:59:27.411-05:002014-06-12T12:59:27.411-05:00Hi Lindsay! I am going to try that next year. Thanks for hosting this party. I haven't come up with a TON of jobs but my board spots have numbers on them so whichever two numbered spots are closest, it becomes their job. Whichever student is closest to the front and center is the projector helper. Not everyone will get a turn, because I only rotate spots each quarter, but I select other students who I've noticed doing super job with x y or z that morning to help me pass out our floor staffs or something like that. Let me know if you think of other jobs to incorporate! I'd love to have more helpers!Lindsay Jervishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18167594381389888546noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964923965343114096.post-26189889651228229392014-06-12T09:55:57.484-05:002014-06-12T09:55:57.484-05:00Good morning, Lindsay! You mentioned that you implement JOBS in your classroom. I plan to do this next year to add to classroom culture (and take some little tasks off my hands, like you said!) Could you talk a little bit about what jobs you assign and how you rotate students through them throughout the year? Your dedication to helping all of these anonymous teachers out in the world in incredible - you are so appreciated!! Thank you again!

Erin J.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16002163041934161159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6964923965343114096.post-25278412885274173862014-06-12T07:48:59.937-05:002014-06-12T07:48:59.937-05:00Great ideas, Lindsay! And good point about learning all the names...it can be hard to learn 500+ names but it really is so important! :) Thanks for joining the party!Aileen Miraclehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08342289760906142328noreply@blogger.com
